# \[Flash CS3, ActionScript 2\] Controlling external .swf with on (release)

Everyone tells me it can be done but no-one can tell me how: I have a base.fla that uses buttons to load movie or load movieNum. Would like to stop the loaded .swf file from base.fla  
So basically just use on (release) to control an external but loaded .swf file.

PLEASE HELP!!
