# Flash Detection Check off?

So I was looking through my publish settings and came across the check box for “detect flash plugin” Now being that this is integrated into the published SWF/Html…is it necassary to look into the adobe/macro flash player detection kit? or any of the million JS / VB scripts floating out on the net? Thanks
