Hi there

I have a site i am busy developing. I have a flash file within the html page. I dont want a promt to appear asking user to install flash if they dont have it. I just want the flash swf to be automatically replaced with an image if user does not have flash player. I have found many scripts online but i cant seem to get it to work with the code thats present on my site as it is.

I would appreciate some help! 😏

This is the code on my site thus far (just displaying the flash file):

\<object classid=“clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000” width=“414” height=“57” id=“FlashID” title=“star”\>
\<param name=“movie” value=“flash/staranimation.swf” /\>
\<param name=“quality” value=“high” /\>
\<param name=“wmode” value=“opaque” /\>
\<param name=“expressinstall” value=“Scripts/expressInstall.swf” /\>
\<!-- Next object tag is for non-IE browsers. So hide it from IE using IECC. --\>
\<!–[if !IE]\>–\>
\<object type=“application/x-shockwave-flash” data=“flash/staranimation.swf” width=“414” height=“57”\>
\<!–\<![endif]–\>
\<param name=“quality” value=“high” /\>
\<param name=“wmode” value=“opaque” /\>
\<param name=“swfversion” value=“6.0.65.0” /\>
\<param name=“expressinstall” value=“Scripts/expressInstall.swf” /\>
\<!-- The browser displays the following alternative content for users with Flash Player 6.0 and older. --\>
\<div\>
\<h4\>Content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player.\</h4\>
\<p\>\<a href=“[http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer](http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer)”\>\<img src=“[http://www.adobe.com/images/shared/download\_buttons/get\_flash\_player.gif](http://www.adobe.com/images/shared/download_buttons/get_flash_player.gif)” alt=“Get Adobe Flash player” width=“112” height=“33” /\>\</a\>\</p\>
\</div\>
\<!–[if !IE]\>–\>
\</object\>
\<!–\<![endif]–\>
\</object\>

Thanks
Leigh
