# Flash Developer

I am wondering what are the necessary steps in becoming a Flash Developer as far as software and languages? [FONT=Arial Black][COLOR=black]ALSO IN WHAT ORDER[/COLOR][/FONT] should I learn these tools to get the job? I want to also use flex once I have mastered what I need. I also have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication/Digital Design to go along with that. I appreciate everyones help.

First and foremost you should learn Actionscript 3 and proper OOP practices. :thumb:

a piece of advice, even if you intend on being a flash DEVELOPER, learn how to use the **timeline**!!! it will save your life from time to time, and you just can’t avoid it if working with flash ‘designers’, trust me on that one, i used to code EVERYTHING down to the visual assets… 🙂
