Hi - this is a Flash MX actionscript question -

I don’t know if anyone has ever tried this, but I thought that it would be a cool usability thing if, when the user gets to the bottom of the listbox, it scrolls down one or two places automatically. Do you know of any place that may shed some light on how to do this? It has proven a rather tough feat.

I greatly appreciate any feedback / ideas you may have.

Thanks again,

Sam

They mean like so you don’t have to use the scrollbar, but if you are near the bottom, it scrolls down automatically.

I have seen it done before, but never in a listbox.

I don’t know how to do it.

Oh… Well, 2 things:

1. I don’t think it’s really good for usability. Moving menus are really difficult to use, so automatically scrolling listboxes… :-\
2. It’s not an easy thing to hack MM components. They have quite a few tutorials on their site, and the allmighty Branden Hall has written an article at [www.ultraschock.com](http://www.ultraschock.com) about it.

Good luck.

pom 🙂

I’ll check it out, and let you know how it goes…

Thanks again,
