# Flash/PHP Counter #s jumping

Hi,

I’ve followed the tutorial on kirupa here, the PHP/flash hit counter, but have a problem,

The counter appears and the numbers change but after the number is updated, it begins to jump around to other numbers. Why?

reloads to 21…suddenly its 17…4…back to 21…etc.

whats up? My server supports the latest PHP5. is there a version conflict? Wht version was the tutorial written for?
