I’m using the Flash Detector in CS3 with Player 9 & AS2 when publishing. The part of the code I’m having a problem with is:

} else { // flash is too old or we can’t detect the plugin
var alternateContent = ‘You do not have the latest version of Macromedia Flash Player required to view this site.’
+ ‘If you have Flash Player 9, \<a href=http://www.my\_web.com/index.html\>Click Here\</a\>’
+ ‘Download Flash Player: \<a href=http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflash/\>Click Here\</a\>’;
document.write(alternateContent); // insert non-flash content

FIRST QUESTION: When the above code is viewed with Flash Player 9 uninstalled, the text runs on one continuous line that is too wide and looks terrible. I actually wanted to say more, but it just keeps getting wider. Is there a way to break the text inside the 3 ‘…’ s into multiple lines of text so it looks right?

Second Question: Better yet, how do I eliminate all the text and give alternate content/page to view, e.g., alternate\_page.html? Could you please give me an example of the above code without any text and just the alternate\_page.html in the right spot? I don’t understand at all how to alter the code and make it work correctly…dumb at this stuff!
Thanks!!
