# Flash player install on cd-rom

Hi,
i got a flash cd-rom i’m making, its got a flash player installer on it so if you dont have it you can install it off the cd.
Is there a way of redirecting the auto-flash player installer to the cd based flash player installer. cos at the mo it always jumps to the macromedia website to grab the installer there.

Jumps where from? A web page? If so, then yes, althought you wouldn’t need the player, just the browser plugin, just edit the object code.
But as this is a cd anyway, why not use an .exe which already contains the player if it’s for standalone (not in browser) content??

just use a script to detect if the user has the flash player that will redirect the user to the html page you will make that has the link to the flash player on your cd good luck 😉
