# Flash spinning numbers display

does anyone know of a fla or a tutorial that would help me create a numerical display that can change to a given value by spinning the numbers in the style of a car mileometer, or a old fashioned tape counter? that is, the numbers in the units column should spin, and when the reach zero, the tens column should increment.

it is important that i can update one variable, which will be the new amount, and the actionscript will handle the rest.

sorry if this isn’t a good explanation, i can’t find an example online.
