# Flash Vars URL Problem/Question

I’ve looked around a bit regarding this one, but I can’t find anything. Is there a way to make an HTML page export a variable to flash to open something? I want to point to a page

EX: [www.whatever.com](http://www.whatever.com) goes to a flash movie, that has swf’s loaded to change the page. say if you go to [www.whatever.com/about.htm](http://www.whatever.com/about.htm), is there anyway to make an about.htm load variables into the SAME flash movie, but have the loadMovie SWFs start out different. I already have all the framework to interpret the variable up, i just need for it to somehow que up when you hit that specific HTML file.

If I confused you guys, sorry. I’ll try to re-explain if you don’t get it.
