I always thought Flash would only play FLV files so any video file you wanted to show in a flash interface needed to be converted.

But I was searching around to look for some good HD video specs and I noticed that YouTube and Vimeo both use MPEG4 (( [Details](http://techvideoblog.com/reviews/online-video-sites-hd-quality-comparison) ))

How do they get other formats to play in flash?

Thanks 🙂
