# Flash write to FileSystem

[TD=“width: 64”]We are new to Flash development. I have a Flash site with a user registration page. When users have completed a number of details and when clicked ‘register’, I want to exit cleanly and save an encrypted id and last session date in a specific user folder.[/TD]

[TD]Can Flash write to client side file system, say c:\user$user\roaming$myapplication folder ?[/TD]

[TD]If not, what design option or other technologies do I need ?[/TD]
