# Flv handle issues

Hello,

I’m new to the forums, so please forgive me if I am asking questions that have already been asked, or if I am in the wrong thread.

I’m building a site in flash that plays flv files using a shared custom skin. I set it up so that buttons in my main menu tell flash to go to a keyframe in a “Movies” symbol. Each button plays a different movie this way. It works great until I want to leave the movies section of the site. There is another button that opens a new area and makes the “Movies” symbol disappear. Well, everything dissappears except the handles for the progress bar and the volume bar. They stay where they were, and if I go back to play another movie, new handles appear, but the old ones stay. If I exit that area again, both handles stay, etc, etc.

I’m using flash 8 to build the site if that helps. Does anybody know why this is happening and how I can overcome it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
