# Flv playback

ok, i have to be overlooking something…

i am using the flv player component to play an .flv movie, and chose to ‘progressivly download from a web server’. i uploaded my flv movie to my server, and it works fine when i open the page from the server.

but…when i try to dial it up using an internet browser the screen is blank. i feel i may not be pointing the flv player in the right direction. as of now, the contentPath is video.flv

do i need to change this to a url address since it is downloading from a server, or should it be automatic since both the .flv file and the .swf are in the same folder? :-/

i am a little new to using videos and the such. any help or pointers would be awesome.

ok.

so, i dove through some old forum postings and found a player that will appear on the stage, but still no video or sound.

could this be a problem with the server i am hosting it on?

it’s possible that when movie finish and close itself. i can’t find anything about it.
