Hello,

I’ve figured out how to load XML data (simple text) into flash.

Hooray! 🙂

My next step is to load text and image into flash via MySQL. Yes a bit more demanding, but I want to learn the softer side of Sear…I mean the server side of things. 🙂

This way, when I get more experience I can directly edit the database content from a form to update the data…hopefully that made sense…but one step at a time. :block:

I’ve searched the Kirupa index of tuturials (ergo my learning of the XML loading), but I either didn’t use the correct criteria or I didn’t search long enough. I can google all day, but most just give examples without an explanation.

I also know I need to know some PHP to use a database and I’ve already bought a book for that. I just need some starter fluid, kindle and someone to hold my hand over the fire. :red:

Any help or direction is appreciated.

Thank you. :puzzled:
