# Fonts slowing me down?

I have posted about this g4 tower working really slow with flash before. Thus far no solutions.

Here is a thought. it seems that this machine has a TREMENDOUS amount of fonts installed. Now i know that flash hates doing anything with text, so i wonder if having this many fonts installed would be bogging it down unneccassarily?

This occured to me as i was opening WORD to put together a document and noticed that it was taking FOREVER to load because it was “optimizing font menu”. Word is hardly a benchmark when it comes to resource management, but if even it is slowing down…

Thoughts?
