# Fractional Number - setProperty help \[f8\]

Hello all,

How would I get this to work not on the \_root. ? I’ve got it one MC in off the \_root. i tried \_parent. and other things like this… No luck. ☹

this.onLoad = function() {
    a = 1;
    //duration = 1;

this.onEnterFrame = function() {
    setProperty(_root.chandelier, _rotation, (((Math.sin (speed*a))*(Math.pow (duration, a ))))*maxang);
    a = a+0.1;
}

```
