# Freelance questions?

Hi all,

I have been learning AS3 for about 2 years now and feel i have the confidence to apprach most things that could be asked of me.

However i still hold back due to confidence reasons.

I got a call today to say there is a contract available in Dublin, and i often am in the habit of dulling myself down such as “are you sure i fit the bill” type thing because im scared i turn up and they say “do a as3 version of msn portal” and obviously id be fecked.

How good do you really have to be? I mean, what do most jobs expect a Flash Developer to do? I know that is a general question but i have no experience commercially of Flash. All my time has been spent as a hobbiest and i still dont have the “get up and do it factor”. Who wants to employ someone who has no faith?

Another thing i want to ask, is i live in Scotland so if i was to be offered a contract in Dublin for 6 months then how does my life work? Am i expected to pay for my flat here and also pay to live in Dublin (super expensive)? If you are not local to the area, do companies put you in a hotel or similar?

I prob have many more questions but i thought this will get us started 😃
