# FTP Question: Disk Quota? \*Please Help\*

I am in the process of trying to upload a new web site and ran into a little problem…

The old site had a ton of useless files and so I decided to delete them before uploading the new files so that I wouldn’t get them mixed up. I did download all the files first, before deleting them, just in case.

But now I’m trying to upload the new files and I’m getting the following error message:

Command: CWD /web  
Response: 250 CWD command successful.  
Command: PWD  
Response: 257 “/web” is current directory.  
Command: TYPE A  
Response: 200 Type set to A.  
Command: PASV  
Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (207,155,253,116,195,84)  
Command: STOR index.html  
Response: 550 Unable to write due to disk quota (maximum 250000K, last sampling 283929K)  
Error: Critical error

So now I’m a bit panicked! Does this mean that I messed something up? Or does it mean that the server only allows a certain amount of data transfer in a given time frame?

I’m not sure who the host is as I only received the FTP login information so I can’t contact the host. And my contact with the company has no idea who the host is either. :huh:

If anyone has a clue what’s up please let me know!
