I was wondering if any fellow Kirupians had the low down on a company that is able to print Full Color Catalogs? I havn’t had any luck locating a good company through a web search, as the ones i do get ahold of are extremely incompetant. It really is frustrating, because i know that there are companies out there, but i just cant connect with them… 😱 Does anyone have any suggestions?? :h: ---

I am guessing you have already tried Kinko’s 🙂 I think a few larger UPS Stores (formerly Mailboxes, etc.) may do brochures also. ---

What volume? There are a few companies I use on the east coast. One called Synergy Graphics just north of boston. They are both a sheet fed and web print shop and are very competitive price wise. If Kinko’s could handle such a job, i would hate to think what it would cost, considering that one color copy is about one dollar… ::shudder:: Thank you all for the suggestions, i will look into them… ---

Well if you do decide to call synergy for a quote Ask for Kevin Lentini he is the VP of sales and let him know you were refereed to by Matt Beston. I have worked with him for years. ---

Well, i called Synergy Graphics, and left a message, and also sent in a quote inquiry to speedcolor… we will see what happens… Another company that i requested a quote from said that for what i want it would be about $50,000… thats for 10,000 Full-Bleed, Full Color 180 page catalogs… works out to about $5 bucks per catalog… Do you guys think that spending a bit more for a full color catalog is worth it, or would it be wiser to save money, and stick with the black-and-white style?? ---

Well its been a while since I sent anything to a printer in that volume but 50K seems a bit steep for four color. A few years ago 4 color was wAAAAAAYYYY more expensive than 2 color but its a lot more comparable these days. You also might want to check out canadian printers they are typically 30% less. These guy Warren Business Graphics I had in on a quote were way cheaper than any US printer I had quote. tel:1-781-647-7760 - The guy I met with was Francis Warren. Here is the quote…if you do the math without price-breaks it would be around 25K for what your looking for :beam: ---

I spoke with my printshop - taylored printing - in Yorktown VA, They do most of the print work for Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. He said that sounded a little low for the qty. and size of the job. Plus you are going to have to factor in shipping costs -which are going to be huge for that much weight - into the total cost per piece. I think you would be better off looking somewhere local.
