i dont really know how to explain this but im goin to attempt to
first of all im tryin to make a music video or somethin to music in flash and i want to do that thing where they like cut off the mouth of the person and the head “flaps” to the words and stuff… good explanation eh? so anyways… if anyone can tell me where aboot there is a good tutorial for that i would be all like thanks

hmm… i think the actual flash bit would be more appropriate in a flash forum, but i think that the cutting of the head is ok here
i guess the easiest way would be just to cut the face horizontally where the mouth is and animate the two sections, but it might look shonky.

i mucked around a bit and looked at the whole face thingy
for this, i just made a selection (fairly dodgy selection i might add) and copied the contents to a new image, then filled the existing selection with black.
then i just moved the selected image bit around to simulate open or closed mouth.
it’s just a style i’ve seen before (maybe on south park?) but if you wanted a realistic thing it would be much harder

well just save the mouth as an image and then save the head as another, and just move it up and down in flash using tweens.

ok well this is probably a dumb question but im new at flash so i dont really care… when import the first pic it works but when i import the 2nd one it replaces the first file… how do i undo that?

i figured it out… now all i need to know is how to get the sounds in there… i imported the .mp3 but i dunno where to go from there
