**GameCube Sales Rocket**

_October 02, 2003_ - Nintendo is ecstatic today, as figures from retailers have shown sales of the GameCube have quadrupled since the reduction of the price to $99.99. Nintendo has indeed acknowledged that this is what retailers and consumers wanted all along, and now the factor holding them back from purchasing a unit has gone, they are doing.

With Nintendo predicting strong results for the holiday season, it will be interesting to see whether the level of sell through is sustainable
