This is the URL for an awesome game. I have decided I would like to extend my flash knowledge by making a game like this. Now I have the movement downpat, but using hittests, thats where I have the problem. I have no idea how to create the game so you can not walk in certain places/areas. Could somebody please explain how to use hittest and give me the code for stopping movement when you hit a wall.

You’re asking how to create the entire game? Well, if you’re just asking for info on how to use hitTest, check Flash’s documentation or search these boards…it’s been discussed to death.

Use the search term “collision” too - I’ve seen that a million times on the forum in relation to games. 🍺
