# Getting a mic to work on windows :/?

I just reinstalled windows and now my mic isnt working. I tried the mic on my firends computer and it worked so it isnt broken.

I tried using the motherboard outlet and the soundcard one. And I’ve installed the drivers for the soundcard. Which is Soundblaster LIVE! 24bit by the way. I also made sure that the recording sound lvl is high. Thats all I can think of that could be the problem right now ☹

Anyone got any ideas?
