Google’s trying to take a lot more control over its AI chip pipeline, with four design partners in the mix and a TPU roadmap that runs out to 2nm at TSMC by 2027.

Interesting from a control/risk angle, but “four partners” can still collapse into one real choke point if it’s all riding TSMC 2nm capacity. The part I’m watching is whether Google can keep the software stack stable while the hardware diversifies, because that’s where these roadmaps usually get messy.
