The first time I went to [video.google.com](http://video.google.com) I couldn’t help but thinking they were taking a wrong turn by offering their own downloadaable video player. Hadn’t they heard about Flash video and the new codec?

Well I was right, Google have seen the error of their ways and have switched to the fabulous Flash platform to deploy their video. Let us rejoice.
