# Gradient steps

Hi,

I’ve been using PS for sometime now and most of the time it didn’t bother me, but now Im working on a project where I use gradients with two or more very similiar colors, so when in PS I see ‘steps’ and color distortions that are hard to work with. They go away when I save the file into .png .jpeg etc. but thats not a good way to see your results.  
So is there a way to fix this? I tryed working with a 16bit file but that doesn’t help. Also I have a CRT monitor, so this isn’t the problem.
