# Graphic equalizer using Actionscript 2.0

So instead of waiting for actionscript 3.0 to be out, I want to make a graphic equalizer now with Flash MX using actionscript 2.0. I was thinking that if there was some way to record the frequencies of like 3 or 4 songs that would be on the playlist, I could drive the equalizer with the frequencies brought in from an XML file. You guys think this would work? Any ideas on how to get the frequency readings?
