# Having a bad day \>\<

I can’t seem to get a simple hitTest working. I think I should get more sleep or something, but here’s my problem. I have this code pasted on the frame:

```auto

this.map_mc.to_hrp.hitTest(char_mc){
touching=true;
_global.target="hrp"
}

```

map\_mc is the map and to\_hrp is a portal embedded in the map. It’s a syntax error and yer… help?

I did try using the inbuilt help but nothing mentions anything about using something in something, and I’m sure you can do it because I’ve done it before … Anyways, help?
