# Having problem w/dynamic scroller text

hi everyone,
i followed the tutorial on loading dynamic scroller text ([http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/dynamic\_scroller.asp](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/dynamic_scroller.asp)), but my text is not displayed in the flash movie. can someone take a look at the source file for me and help me here?
the section where i have dynamic scroller text is “MY DIARY”.

In the 1st line of your text you must have
melodytext=
:goatee:

yes, i already have melodytext= in the first line of my melody.txt file.

I downloaded your .txt and .fla file. When I opened your text file I saw strange text in the beginning…

I removed all that and everything worked great (except your \ lines, which I am assuming were supposed to be
for new line, but the downloaded file just converted it as \

hm… that’s very strange.
well, i am on a mac platform so i used “TextEdit” for the text file. how odd that all these weird lines were added in the beginning of the text? i’m going to try and use Word.
