# Help - How to control the maintimeline to play multiple movie clips

Hello,

I have what i think should be a very basic question.

Let’s say i have 2 movieclips that are animations. I want to play the first animation on frame 1, then i want to move to the second frame and play the second animation, then i want to stop the movie.

I thought i could just put the first clip on frame 1, the second clip on frame 2, and add a stop(); action to frame 3, but that only plays the second clip on frame 2.

How do I do this? thanks in advance.
