# Help! huge flash file!

Hello, everyone!
I’ve completed a website that I’ve been working on for awhile, and uploaded it ([www.zionphiziks.com/steeloinc.htm](http://www.zionphiziks.com/steeloinc.htm)). But much to my dismay, I found that the site took forever to load, and still went extremely slow! I was reading another thread where someone was having a filesize problem. Someone on that thread said, “2 MB is ridiculous!” I looked at mine, and it was **8 MB**!!! :crying: Aside from the huge size of this file, I wanted to know why my preloader isn’t working also?
Anyway, I would like to invite anyone to take a look at my flash file, and help me with breaking it down with “loadMovie” stuff or whatever it takes so that it isn’t so bad. Also, while you’re at it, I would like it if someone could help me figure out what’s wrong with my preloader! I would prefer to be a baby and let someone do it for me since I have no idea how to do anything with it, but if you don’t feel like spending the time doing so, I completely understand. If you indeed decide to help me out, I will undoubtedly GIVE YOU VISUAL CREDIT ON THE WEBSITE!!! :thumb2: I’m such a newbie, and I need help badly! Thank you!

Visual credit is not near enough for the amount of work you want. Usually people pay to have these things done :sigh:

Well, that may be, but some people do it out of generousity. I was hoping to find some of those people. Could someone AT LEAST show me how to link several movieclips to the main page? Thank you!

link movieclips? from the library use attachMovie, otherwise not sure what you mean.
link external swfs? use loadMovie into an empty container or loadMovieNum into levels.
