Hi, I am very new to flash… in fact I have zero expierence with flash. But I would really like to learn… So I wanna get some books on it, but am having a hard time choosing. I know for sure that I am going to get the swift 3d foundation book… but thats not for flash… I am considering getting the flash mx bible and the flash mx actionscript bible… as well as the ADGS2. Are these good choices? The only books I have on web design are “Learning Web Design” And “Web Design in a nut shell” both very good books… I also have fireworks mx visual quickstart guide… but I don’t like it… And I’m pretty good with fireworks anyways… So anyways, will those flash books be good choices? Or do you people have better recommendations? Thanks A lot

No need to buy the Bible, the AS Bible and the Definitive Bible. My advice would be: buy the ADGS2, then try to find a few Friends of Ed book, for instance Fresh Flash, Flash MX Studio or equivalent…

flash mx actionscripting advanced training from the source is good.

flash OOP is good too

hi Gecko! welcome to the forum!

well, i guess, for a good start, if your flash app is already open, you can press F1… that’s it! ;)!

i have heard this book is a good one… never have it yet tho (no budget! :P) it’s

Foundation PHP for Flash by Steve Webster

i think this is really good… hitting 2 birds in one stone (come think of it… Flash and PHP… wow i think that’s cool! :thumb: )
plus, if im not wrong, it has an online support…
(i have heard friends of eds online support was closed)

leftover: now, if you like that book and it has help you a lot… then, buy me one! lol 😛
