# Help please, randomising and timing

[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]I am looking to design a system that is extremely complicated for me but I think someone here may be able to assist me.[/SIZE][/FONT]

[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]I would like a safe system whereby there is a link and upon clicking that link a task runs.[/SIZE][/FONT]  
[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]I guess the task would need to be server side to stop people cheating it.[/SIZE][/FONT]  
[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3] [/SIZE][/FONT]  
[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]The task would be as follows,[/SIZE][/FONT]  
[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]First it would check if the user (possibly the specific IP) has clicked already within the last minute.[/SIZE][/FONT]  
[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]Secondly it would check if someone has already gotten the special code (see below).[/SIZE][/FONT]  
[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]And if nobody has the secret code then it will run a 1/1000000 random probability thing and if the person has the random 1/1000000 then it will tell them a special code (see below) and then stop someone else from getting it.[/SIZE][/FONT]  
[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3] [/SIZE][/FONT]  
[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]The special code will be just a simple set of characters and digits.[/SIZE][/FONT]  
[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]I would like the task to reset everyday at about 12 noon maybe so giving a winner per day and the special codes will need to be stored server side and have adequate protection from cheaters.[/SIZE][/FONT]

[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]For the curious people its for a little web game I am planning on making :)[/SIZE][/FONT]

[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]Every minute (minimum delay time) people can click a link and if they are 1/1million they get a secret code. Secret code changes daily and there can only be one winner.[/SIZE][/FONT]
