# HELP THIS NEWBIE! ....please

ok i gotta question involving flash’s projector. i was wondering if any of you flash experts (kissing up to get my question answered) would know how to open a seperate file from the Windows/MAC projector. To be specific, I want to open an ai, pdf, or txt file (depending on the users choice) from a flash projector file (.exe)  
I know how to do it for websites, (linking to other pages, downloading files, opening a pdf from a swf) but when i try it the same way for the projector, its just no luck. I would appreciate any and all responses. Thank YOU!

I’ve never tried this before… I assumed that it worked the same way on the web as it would locally. I’ll see if I can experiment a little… but I’m not guaranteeing anything.
