# Help with a button state...or lack of

Ok, I have this little idea for a new project (u guys are more than welcome to critique it…) i have to halfs that open up with one button, and closes with another. I want to achieve this same effect with only one button…I’m pretty sure I have to use an If…Then… statement, but how? what do I do? Here’s what the SWF looks like so far…
