# Help with coldfusion and database

Hi All,
I really need your help…?? I just started learning colfusion MX, as far as I was doing it on my local computer with RDS login everything seems to be fine but problem started when I got my site hosted with media temple for coldfusion, I cannot connect to my database ???
I need to know the query string or script that I can put it on my page and then FTP it on the there server, they use Mysql on linux, I cannot connect through RDS because of the security, how can I connect my database and work in dreamweaver…do I have to do everythinng in script form or can I work in GUI like I was when I was using my local computer.
Please explian in detail how can I get it work and how can I connect to my database with coldfusion script.
I will be greatful…thanx

Achal,
I only write code text style, so I never use the GUI parts of CF Studio.
You might want to try and ask your question on the CF forum:

Also learning to write the DB statements on your own will make trouble shooting a lot easier. jsut my 2 cents.

P.S. CF is not a vector program. Can a mod move this to the scripting forum.
