# Help with collision detection

hmm my collision detection isnt working  
this is my object-the archer dude

does ne 1 know what code i would use?  
i tried the hit test  
i have the character moving up and down by the arrow keys  
but i want him 2 stop once hit hits the tree  
like a boundry?
