# Help with Fading Text tutorial

I followed the [fading text tutorial](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/fadingtext.htm) EXACTLY and I still have a problem.

I’m using Flash Pro 8. In the timeline bar at the top, if I press ENTER to play the movie, it does what it’s supposed to do, it fades. But if I export it or do CTRL+ENTER, it is just a static image with absolutely no fading.

Is there something I’m missing? Perhaps since I just installed Flash I need to set up some options or something to make it work? I have no idea, but it is very frustrating!

I have attached my FLA doc in case anyone would like to see it. I will appreciate any and all help, thank you guys!
