# Help with menu design

i think im finally ready to start creating a flash website but i encountered a problem with the first thing that i tried to create - rollover animation for a menu. I know how to make a rollover and I will eventually put this animation into a movie clip, but I only needed to upload this part for now. Here is the code for what I tried so far…

What Im trying to do is on rollover, the circle stretches up and I have achieved that to some degree. But it the way I did it looks ugly to me and its hard lining up all the elements because of the graient. It just seems like there is a better way to do it.

Anyway any advice you can give me to rethink this animation is great. Thanks in advance.
