# Help with simple effects for flash assignment

Hi!

Been awhile since I have used flash but I am now doing a final college assignment in flash just to get a bit more practice.

I have attached a swf on how the menu system will work.

I have already started on doing the buttons using as3 and have nested them inside each of the large 1 things… I am really not sure if that is the best way though.

I am also unsure on how to make the large transparent stripe come through in the exact way as the demo version?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
