# Help with Sockets in Flash?

Hey,  
I’ve had a quick look though the site, and forum, looking for some details on sockets. I know these are easily used in Flash, but i cant find any tutorials to get me started?

So, in conclusion, can someone perhaps give me a few pointers on where to look and learn?

Hope my small post here isnt against the rules! Any help would be great!

Thought i might edit this post slightly, as to give a bit more information.

Im trying to create an IRC client. I have written several in VB, and even created the odd ActiveX control! But flash is compatable with a few other browsers, were’as, ActiveX is compatable only with Internet explorer.

Hope this perhaps explains into more detail what i want?
