# Help with tatoo symbolising life-defining period of my life

I’m actually a regular poster on kirupa. But I registered this account because of the nature of this post. I say this in confidence that you guys will respect this and not track my IP or something like that to reveal my real username.

Now a couple of years ago, I fell into a drugabuse that lasted about a year. This was a period filled with extreme happiness, at the price of even more extreme depression, and loss of about everything else in my life. Luckely, I have a forgiving family and loving family. This year was a year that I learned a lot about life. And I came out as another person, a much stronger and smarter individual. I’m not saying that I wouldn’t reverse the whole thing if I can, cause I would if I could. I’m just saying that I learned a lot.

I wan’t to get a tatoo symbolising this period. Either just a symbol for drugs, since it will only serve as a permanent marking that sort of tells what I’ve been through. It doesn’t need to show that I learned something from it since I know this myself. Although if i does, I dontmind. It could also be a phrase, in latin or in english. Doesn’t matter. It will be placed under my foot. It’s not something I plan on showcasing. Although I do plan to be able to add more things to this “list” of sorts as I/if I go through any lifedefining periods and/or experiences.

And please, I don’t need any downtalking or lectures here. I’ve been clean for over a year and I learned my lesson. We all make mistakes. I made a great one, yes. But a mistake nonetheless. I’m posting this on kirupa because I think everyone here is great and believe you respect this.
