# Hi all, gradient help

First of all, hello to all this community 😃 i have been looking at kirupa site for 1 year or something, and i just reg to this forum…
The question:
i droped yesterday at this site:

and i saw that the entire layout is just 10k, and i was
wondering. how did the owner made the Gradient fills i have
seen the gradient fill in flash but only from left to right and that
gradient is up and down. can someone help me, and tell me
if it can be done in flash, or i just have to make it on PS and import it?
Another one…
i was wondering how did that guy made the scrollbars, they
are quite nice… anyone have an idea? i search at kirupa tuts
but only found how to make a scrollbar with the component,
i think that one is a dif story…

Yeap! the gradient was made in flash. Just create a box with a gradient fill and open the color mixer panel to mess around and you will see that this is quite simple.
The scroll bars is not flash, it is a html style like this:

The gradients are done by just simply adding a gradient to a fill and then rotate the gradient with the Fill Transform Tool!
And the scrollbars are html. You can change the colors easily with some lines of html code:

Thanks for the response, i was doing that, rotating the fill, i guess thats the only way…
but im talking about the scrollbars inside the flash, there are like 3 of them, where the text is, do you see the rectangle… thats the custon scrollbar im talking about…
do you have any idea how he made it?
not the explorer scrollbar :P,

what Syko meant by rotating the gradient was tha you should use the fill transform tool (F) on the gradient fills.
And the scroll, so subtle that I missed. Very cool. Let me search a tut link for ya, cause this is long.

But i need to know how to create a custom one, not using the component, i have done some scrollbars with the flash component, do you have any idea of how can i make it?
maybe going to the graphics of the comp. scrollbar and modify them?, is that possible?

You can edit the scroll elements on you library to look like you want it to be.
