# Hide a button if Quicktime is installed using External API

Can anyone shed some light on how to:

Get a flash projector movie to check if Quicktime is installed and then if installed hide a button in the projector movie but if quicktime is not installed make the button visible.

I would really appreciate it if someone can outline the solution, I think javascript can check for quicktime and return a variable value.
