Does anyone know now to hide extensions on a website? for example if my domain name is:

> **[KIRUPA | become a better web developer](https://www.kirupa.com/)**
>
> With our thoughtfully clear, concise, and casual content, become a better (or more awesome) web developer really quickly!

how would I hide lets say [kirupa.com/index.htm](http://kirupa.com/index.htm) when the site first pops up?
