I have a movie clip on the stage that consists of dozens of tiny dots. I am running a dropTarget test on it but I need it to activate over a broader hit area instead of only if the mouse is over the tiny dots.

So I made a new layer and created a movie clip called “hit area” and set it below it and put the alpha to 0. But that didn’t work, it still doesn’t activate.

So I put the alpha at 2% - not really visible but the computer thinks it is - and then 10, but that still didn’t work.

What am I doing wrong?
