# hitTest help

Hello.  
I have read numerous tutorials however i can never get hitTests to work.

I have a main **‘charactor’** that walks around and i want him to stop when he hits a **‘building’**. when he hits the building i also want a message to pop up in the **‘message box’** saying _“you need a key to enter here!”_ :D.

I have attatched my file.  
I have now added a FlashMX one aswell

Please could you add the actionscript needed for this to happen.  
I will read it through and ask if i don’t understand so i won’t need to bother you next time :D.
