I’m currently trying to have a mc that has been moved by the user be compared with a hitTest with an animated mc clip and the code is not being cooperative. I’ve tried a few different codes yet none of them have yet to accomplish what I thought that they would. The onClipEvent doesn’t like my ideas, :crying:.

I don’t know what it is that the program wasn’t liking, this is my first flash. I have attached the file to allow you to see it since I’m fairly certain that I am not the best one to explain the problem that I’m having.
The problem that I’m having is that I want the timeline to stop once the ball comes into contact with the catcher.

the only other thing that I can think of that might work is to make a tween that every frame the object is still a movie clip.

Thank you one and all for your time and effort in helping lost souls like me find the answer.
