# Home or Index?

Just curious, what name do most people use when uploading the opening page of their web site/s, home or index?

I’ve always uploaded an index.html file, but recently got into the habit of uploading home.html instead, for various reasons.

Are their any pros/cons for each name? Like do some browsers or servers only recognise one?
